Магистраль обеспечивает последовательную связь между модулями системы Multibus II или сегментами (подсистемами) посредством двухпроводной шины, работающей с частотой 2 МГц. Магистраль может объединять до 32 узлов на расстоянии до 10 м. Магистраль имеет аналогичное назначение, что и PSB, обеспечивая с помощью передаваемых сообщений мультипроцессорную работу в нескольких сегментах, а также передачу диагностической информации между модулями или сегментами. В протоколе используется детерминированный алгоритм разрешения конфликтов в реальном времени. В магистрали используется: 16-разрядный циклический код, контролирующий передачу сообщений. Магистраль конструктивно включает две составляющие: кабель из двух витых пар для соединения сегментов, две линии на системной печатной плате.
